Charles Sharp
Charles Sharp plays woodwinds, composes, and hosts Trilogy on KXLU. He has a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology and he teaches at California State University, Fullerton. His teaching and research focuses on philosophy, aesthetics, American music and improvisational and experimental music.Jeff Schwartz
Jeff Schwartz (bass) co-leads the groups Intangible (with gamin, Robert Reigle, and Tim Feeney), the Present Quartet (with Ellen Burr, Anne LeBaron, and Charles Sharp), and the Soapbox (with a rotating cast). He also collaborates regularly with Anna Homler, Andrea Centazzo, and Jack Curtis Dubowsky and irregularly with numerous other artists, plays symphonic, chamber, and Arabic music, and has written two books and several shorter texts on free jazz and creative music.
