Returning to Sun Ship is: Derek Monypeny, with his psychedelic desert approaches to the bulbul tarang & guitar, performing in a duo with SF based percussionist, Kevin Corcoran. Kevin Corcoran is originally from Sacramento, California where he played in Antennas Erupt!, Dead Western, and Invasive Species among other projects emerging from the vibrant DIY scene there in the early 2000s. He balances ad hoc improvisations with deepening sound practices through long-term commitments (such as his duo with Derek Monypeny) as he collaborates across disciplines and borders with musicians, dancers, writers, and media artists in the US, Mexico, Europe, and East Asia.
